Quilled card

Simplicity!!

Quilled baby card with quilled stork, quilled teddy, toys

It's a boy! Was asked to do an A4 size card for new mummy at the office .  The teddy and stork were inspired by Manuk and Zea respectively. Big thank you to both :)

This one is smaller - 7" X 6" in neutral colours.

Quilled Bird

This little fellow was made using the comb husking method. I first drew the outline on a sheet of paper and then worked around the shape. The eye is a marquis with a lighter shade around it.

The wings and tail are darker shades while the breast and lower half of his head are lighter.

Thanks for visiting. If you do use any of my tutorials please leave a reference to my page :)

Quilled Jewellery - Brooches

For more samples of my work please check my facebook page here

To make the blue leaves in the brooch below just fold your paper in half. Cut out the shape of a half leaf. Make accordion folds at a forty-five degree angle before opening it up. You can also use this method to make petals. You can use any coloured paper. If you don't have the colour you need you can paint on white printing paper. I have even used wax paper from my kitchen for a unique look.
